Description

section.description

A scheduled task looks simple until daylight saving time, user locale, queue delays, retries, and deployment windows collide. Participants debug a calendar of broken reminders, duplicate jobs, and missed cleanup runs across several time zones.

The workshop covers UTC storage, user-local presentation, idempotent jobs, run ledgers, retries, lock ownership, alerting, and how to explain schedule behavior to non-engineers. It is a useful lab for any product that sends reminders, invoices, reports, or digests.
